Successful enterprises usually rely on integrated frameworks across the enterprise to provide capability in process analysis, group collaboration and common vocabularies between project teams and to the executive level and to ensure a level of consistency, management, history and control.

Solutions

Macklin IR has been involved in designing solutions for interoperability for over ten years. Our approach employs standards, public domain specifications and community of interest guidelines; while this is not unique it remains progressive, innovative and 'open'. Our goal is to assist our customers to be come more agile and able to respond to market space dynamics.

Macklin has combined a number of innovations along with the business transformation toolkit (BTEP) for use by customer architecture pilot teams. The innovations include:

  • A Unified Modeling Language (UML) engineering environment that supports various business process modeling techniques (including BTEP PSAM, SIAM and Service Bundling);
  • A service integration chain analysis and synthesis service affectionately called the 'Tinker Toy';
  • An Information Resource Manager as an information architecture prototyping environment to manage the various artefacts and provide bridging to the final repository service;
  • A model driven forms engine that captures information objects according to the semantic (UML) model [model based forms]; and
  • A semantic integration platform which is an information reference semantic context model combined with a model driven, content based information exchange services supported by integrated semantic security models. All models are developped following a rigorous MDA or model-driven engineering approach.
